Emily Teuben is the Director of Legal Operations at PayPal, Inc., a Fortune 500 digital payments platform. As the head of Legal Operations at PayPal, Ms. Teuben leverages her legal and business background to identify efficiency opportunities across the enterprise. She has developed a global legal technology strategy, implemented workflow automation solutions and developed the team’s first monthly metrics scorecard.

Prior to PayPal, Ms. Teuben served as Senior Legal Operations Manager at NetApp, Inc., a Fortune 500 data management and storage provider. During her 9-year tenure at NetApp, she led programs to create, redesign, streamline and simplify operational processes, and managed complex projects focused on globalizing and unifying the department, as well as the enterprise.

At NetApp, she was instrumental in developing and implementing 21 legal and business technologies, many which extend to the entire company, including cutting-edge contract management, electronic signature, workflow automation, and eBilling software. Her leadership has extended past technology and into department strategy, metrics, budgeting, and outside counsel management.

Ms. Teuben’s work has led to national recognition for industry leadership, and she has won countless awards for NetApp Legal’s innovation in the areas of strategic vision, partner and financial management and operational efficiencies. She is a frequent speaker at global events on the growing role of Legal Operations and the impact of technology on the legal industry.

Ms. Teuben graduated cum laude from Santa Clara Law and is licensed to practice law in the State of California. She also graduated cum laude from California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology.
