Dwight Thompson is a Sr. Principal Patent Counsel at SAS Institute. Dwight co-manages the patent portfolio and handles a variety of IP-related matters.
Before joining SAS, Dwight worked as a Patent Counsel at Fish & Richardson law firm in their D.C. and San Diego offices. He also was a Distinguished Design Engineer at Analog Devices Inc., designing video chips for early cell phones.
Dwight received his law degree from the University of San Diego School of Law, his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at Stanford University, and his B.S. degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering at N.C. State University.
